Hi, I'm Stephanie.
I’m a veteran science educator, Certified Florida Master Naturalist, and lifelong gardener.
I grew up on an avocado farm near Everglades National Park and come from a long line of farmers, where working with the land was simply part of everyday life.
That early connection shaped my understanding of food, soil, and stewardship, and it continues to guide how I teach and garden today.
For more than 30 years, I’ve created and cared for my own personal gardens, and throughout my teaching career, I’ve designed, built, and maintained five different school gardens.
These spaces have become outdoor classrooms—places where science, patience, and care come alive through hands-on learning.
Gardening has long been one of my healing hobbies. It offers rhythm, perspective, and a deep sense of connection to the natural cycles that sustain us.
In this course, I’ll guide you step by step, helping you build confidence and understanding as you create a garden that nourishes your body, spirit, and the earth.
